Vincheto di Celarda
The Vincheto di Celarla nature reserve, run by the Italian Forestry Commission (Biodiversity Section, Belluno), consists of 133 hectares of flat land near the river Piave south east of Feltre. Since 1976, the area has been included in the wetland environments protected by the Ramsar Convention, and is part of the European Nature 2000 network.
The reserve contains alluvial forest, the conservation of which is given high priority at European level. In the reserve are done environmental education and research activities. It also contains a stud farm and horses are used for horse therapy, watch and representation services by the Italian Forestry Commission.
