Oria Gate

The Oria Gate, earlier known as the Aurea Gate, is the best preserved section of the medieval defences. Despite having been lowered in the 19^th century, the main body includes three narrow arches.

The two external arches were equipped with heavy doors, while that in the middle had a portcullis. Outside, until 1502, there was a drawbridge over a ditch.
